Bed and Beach Barcelona opened its doors in May 2010 and offers a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere after a day sightseeing or at the beach.

Less than 5 minutes walking to the beach, we are located in a fully renovated 1902 building on the border of Vila Olímpica and Poble Nou. We offer what we expect when we travel: quiet, good sleep, a great location and the best service at the best price.

Our Story

Bed and Beach's first floor was our home until 2007. Then we took a gap year to travel the world and — after staying in many lovely hostels and guesthouses across the globe — decided to build our own ideal one.

Being travellers ourselves, we know what matters: a comfortable bed, quiet surroundings, fast WiFi and a place to cook.

In 2019 Barcelona changed its regulations and it was no longer possible to rent individual rooms — only complete apartments. So we adapted, keeping the same spirit: clean, quiet, cozy, charming, minimalistic and affordable.

Carolina & Alberto

Carolina and Alberto founded Bed & Beach in 2010 out of a simple idea: build the kind of place they always wished existed when travelling — quiet, comfortable, honest and human.

COVID forced them to close. Reopening in 2026 felt like the right moment to start fresh — with a new concept where the other residents of the building become both hosts and collaborators, bringing their skills, their warmth and their genuine knowledge of the neighbourhood to every guest. This was a deliberate choice: to guarantee that every guest is welcomed with the same personal touch and genuine care that defined Bed & Beach from the start.

Carolina and Alberto still oversee everything — but what you experience when you arrive is a whole community looking after you, not just two people.

Due to a change in Barcelona's regulations in 2019, we can only rent complete apartments. It's no longer possible to book single rooms. However, we kept the same spirit: clean, quiet, cozy and affordable.

Absolutely! We love families and children. Our apartments are spacious enough to accommodate families comfortably, and we're always happy to provide extra help for families travelling with kids.

Yes, fully. Bed & Beach operates with an official tourist licence, is registered with the relevant authorities and complies with all of Barcelona's regulations for tourist accommodation. In a city where unlicensed rentals are a real problem, we think it matters to be transparent about this. You can book with complete peace of mind.

Booking directly always guarantees the best price. We don't charge extra fees and you deal directly with us — your hosts — for any questions or needs. No intermediaries.

Some of our apartments include a private terrace, while others have access to our lovely shared rooftop. Check each apartment's description for the specific details.

Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 11:00. If your flight is late, no worries — we offer free luggage storage so you can explore Barcelona without dragging your bags around.
